  1. 'profitable' and 'commercially viable' 'price is right' etc - that's the problem right there! Food production PER ACRE and PER ECOSYSTEM COSTS - NOT value on the market - the market is WRONG - it has not priced in how close to extinction we are. I cite the journal Nature's shocking conclusion that ORGANIC grows MORE FOOD PER ACRE with FEWER inputs than industrial farming. So did the United Nations. it is market and policy failure to incentivize organic production, and aquaponics may be a victim of this illogic. People are WAKING UP that our system fails to set value appropriately, and it may literally starve you and your family to death.
