  16. We've set new records this summer. June3-6 were the hottest days in recorded history. We have reems of data showing that the earth is heating up. Lots of states are hotter than they've ever been in living memory. You can't just ignore that.

He beat Hillary in Michigan and Wisonsin in the primary. Independents loved him in every poll. You know, independents, the people that decide elections. 'Bernie can't win' is such an obnoxious myth based on theory, not evidence. All the evidence we have is he would've crushed Trump.

  19. I hate to bring bad news, but our new Governor Maura Healy IMMEDIATELY tried to cut capital gains tax. There is some resistance in the Senate I believe. But the Governor who was elected on the SAME BALLOT as the millionaire's tax is trying to give all the money back to them. She sucks.

  36. The debate structure has been horrible for a long time. There should be longer, five-to-ten minute answers to big questions like "lay out your climate policy" and then two minute answers for more narrow questions.

  37. Also don't discount the role of sexism in the Democratic Primary. There's a sexist vote here that at least subconsciously doesn't want a woman, or because they think a woman will lose, and I saw examples of Warren's third place finish being unmentioned while the 1,2,4th place white men were discussed ad nauseam. As progressives, lets not get caught up with trying to pretend sexism doesn't exist, that's a great way to alienate the more economically centrist feminists we need to win - and besides, its a moral duty to expose and fight sexism. Viva la Revolucion!

  40. The reason Biden can't use this is because its up to the COURT to determine whats official. So if Biden does something outside the lines, the court can say its unofficial. But rule anything Trump does official. This is a power grab by the Supreme Court, putting themselves in the position to control the President.

Its a game theory trap, where you stand to gain a whole lot by NOT considering climate if everyone else is. The first mover is punished, others gain more economic power by pursuing wealth NOW and use that wealth to gain more advantage, thus screwing the long-term planner.

  45. Judges CAN nullify guilty verdicts. Rarely used for obvious reasons. Also, the whole reason Bill walked is statute of limitations on assault. That one case was the only one both recent enough and where he confessed. But they will try again with other recent victims, though weaker cases.
