  1. I guess if we ever see this engine alive, it will be a 2 zylinder boxer with an electric hybrid drive train with a small battery or even supercaps. Combined with e fuels those cars will kill every high performance/ long range EV. Pure EVs just make sense for short distance and city driving or in generally small vehicles. A 2,5 ton heavy EV that can go 400km and than needs a 300kW charger so you don't have to wait until the next day to charge is just dumb! With the batteries of a tesla you can build like 5 small city cars, or a hundred e bikes and scooters. And with two tesla batteries you can build a city bus that transports hundreds of people all day long.
