  1. Thy Glycol is a carrier for the enzymes! The enzymes are not normal "soap stuff" they are basicly the substitute for the lack of mechanical cleaning. Pro tip! You can use this stuff as a substitute for drain cleaner! Just rins your sink with boiling hot water, desolve some cleaner in hot water and fill it in your drain. Wait 1/2 to 1 hour and thoroughly rinse with hot water again. Dosen´t melt your pipes, dosen´t try to gas you, uses less stuff and is cheaper! 😉

  2. The Sodium Silicate in the Powder is the only drawback (chemically) against the bricks. It´s used as a binder and clumping inhibitor, for powderd stuff. Here in Germany this stuff is a littel of a problem in laundry detergents, (we use this still 50/50 with liquid ones) because the sewage treatment plants have a hard time dealing with it! I guess this is also why the lose powders for the dishwashers are a little less effective per waight.
