  1. Honestly i dont know why you tried to tie in the political angle. In my experience at least, when you say runes, people, at least in America, think magic honestly. Also, the sunwheel/swazi etc etc... is it really fair to say they ruined it? Doesn't make sense. I feel like we need to move passed this collective trauma that we've inherited about WWII. Not EVERYTHING has to revolve around WWII; it's not healthy to constantly try to see the world through WWII. Yes it was bad, i get it, but if we applied the same logic to all of humam history, humanity would be a schizophrenic mess. There is more to humanity than its darkest aspects.

  2. Funny they'd have to "reread" their own texts because on the other end of Eurasia, the Chinese would have to do the same thing when they used Classical or Archaic written Chinese.
