@Littlemilkjug533 also, keep in mind people from other parts of Spanish America moved to PR. Just cause somebody in the '60s in the middle of nowhere was Indian looking doesn't mean he's automatically a Taino. Could have been from Chile, Mexico, Brazil, etc. Same way you find Puerto Ricans all across the US since we are citizens.

Florida has been mostly uninhabited for most of history. Florida was essentially argonia/black marsh from the games, but the game world country had way more people than Florida ever did. Florida is "new." The vast majority of the buildings and infrastructure in this state were built after WW2, and a lot of it since the 80s.

@parmaxolotl no it doesn't. Lol Florida was barely ever even inhabited. It was literally a giant swamp one of the most hostile environments in the US at the time. The tribe most associated with Florida didn't even migrate here until the 1800s ffs.

Literally everybody used to believe in things like that at one point or another. It's called animism.

@evankimori I've never heard of anybody in the Caribbean or the diaspora that won't cut a tree down because they think a spirit will come out.
