  4. The Bible and the vedas are not mere stories. They are record real events that simply have lots of embellishments and symbols laid on top. Many of the things we perceive as "lies" or untrue aren't mean to be literally true. They used images, literary devices, and references to convey what those events MEANT. There is the historical foundation, then the theological/philosophical structure on top.
