  2.  @jamesportrais3946  unfortunately the reality is that the overwhelming majority of students aren't really able to work at the level of abstraction needed to really access Aurelius or Hegel or whatever, it doesn't mean that there can't be great moral lessons taught - the Parables are just that - to anybody who can understand simple English and concepts, but they won't be making a generation of Philosopher Kings without a selective intake.
