Australian Gen X. We were so much more mature. I smelt bs in my mothers feminism. I left home at 16, married at 17 and had my first child at 19. I have so far had a better life than mum.

@LONEWOLF78. I remember, it was the same for me. I have grandkids and I've been to museums that have the old house phones I grew up with, which makes you feel old, but I don't think kids of this generation can comprehend the seventies.

@AussieDreamChaser I have faith in Gen A. The older ones, 11-13 can think critically and reject most woke narratives. And you can't really expect children younger than that to do so. They are also rather religious, which might seem a contradiction, but they see it as a rejection of their parents atheism. They see their parents and many reject their parents work-life. They just want to Finnish school, and get a job, and then get married. And I wish the best for them.

@hoboonwheels9289 Baby boomers had similar childhoods to us except for one important consideration. The boomers had mothers, we were latch door kids with absent mothers.
