We have a Labor government currently, but it was a bit like your last election. The conservatives didn't conserve anything but bad Labor policies and they'd been in charge during covid, and were on the nose, especially when the PM was personally praised by Schwab. I personally give my first preference to far right parties. I don't know about sex, the breakdowns I've seen are more by age and suburb. Young people vote left, and so do the rich champagne socialists who can afford to care about climate change. Where as truck drivers, tradesmen, farmers etc vote for the coalition which used to be conservative but can't define a woman.

The upper echelon loved it. By the 1990s they'd got as many women out to work that they ever would. But they discovered that mass immigration had the same effect.

I for one would accept a lower standard of living in order to end immigration. A few changes I can see is a reduction in welfare spending, increased costs for health care, and women would need to increase birthrates to a minimum average of 2.2. But without competing with foreigners, and with more women out of the workforce raising children, wages would rise. And within a few years our standard of living might be much higher.

  54.  @Pwecko  That's exactly right, feminists never recognised the cottage industries of housewives. I remember growing vegetables and keeping hens for eggs. Other women did dressmaking. But we traded skills and produce, and as you say we paid no tax. I lived through the period. My mother was very taken by women's liberation. And that first generation of married mothers got huge advantages by working. They doubled the family income, at a time when one income was sufficient. The trouble was they ruined it for the generations to come. By both working it became impossible for families on one income to buy a house. I know it's a little different in Britain, but in Australia couples are expected to buy a house before they have children. And making housing more expensive meant less kids were born. By the 90s most married mothers were working and the government and their building industry mates had squeezed all the blood out of Australians. They drastically increased immigration, because ofcourse immigrants also buy or rent houses. The census before last showed that half of the people living in Australia, including newborns, were born in another country or their parents were. And we compete for housing not just with them, but with wealthy foreign investors who buy houses in the same way they would invest in shares. I know Britain also has immigration problems. When you follow the money in housing you'll discover why.

But every country in the Anglosphere has made the same mistake. My husband is English and came here as a teen, so technically our daughter is a British citizen, but there are many hoops to jump. I know British people trying to emigrate to Australia who find it virtually impossible as well. And yet if you are from China, or India it appears to be very easy. I don't think our governments want immigrants of similar cultures. They want the people tribalised.

As an Australian I feel the cultures of British people and the former anglosphere colonies of Britain are so similar it doesn't require a period of assimilation, though sometimes an adaptation to climate LoL. I never resent British, Canadian or even US immigrants to my country. But for decades our government (of either major party) targets immigration from cultures unlikely to assimilate for several generations. It's almost like they want to destroy social cohesion and atomise us from forming strong communities anymore. Especially in cities. A few years ago a YouTuber pointed out a reading from the Bible I'd never heard as a child at the church of England. Apparently God outlawed a person from another culture becoming a citizen until the third generation of that family came of age. It struck me that this was a correct way to assess assimilation of very different cultures.

  81. I hear you from Australia. I moved to a rural town a few years ago and when I first arrived I started going to the Anglican services. I used to bring my King James Bible with me to read the readings silently. I was asked not to do so as this offended the LGBT community. This completely misses the point. They think it will make them more popular with young people, but they seek the truth not conformacy. Instead of this attempt at popularity I think they should have a late quick service, (nobody wants to get up early on a day of work) followed by a shared meal. I think this would attract people of all ages. I have spent months at a time in the UK and I do find it is less child friendly than here. Are you Australian too, it is an Australian spider.

Government and the rich and powerful could only do it once however. But in the 1990s they discovered they could replicate it with mass immigration.

I came across Italy reading a biography on William the conqueror. Before taking England his Norman Knights were desperate for lands. The coastal areas of Italy had been taken. And Norman Knights removed them to win land for themselves. And then there are Barbary pirates. They ruled the Mediterranean throughout the 1600s. Even in the 19th century they were taking slaves from the British coast. As late as the 1870s British travellers saw British women in the slave markets of Algiers.

  93. No fault divorce has been a dreadful mistake, it harms men, especially men who are the father's of young children. Fortunately not me, but it also harms middle aged women. A man can use joint assets to attract a younger replacement. If the young woman falls pregnant the wife will be taken to the cleaners and the adult children largely disinherited. In Australia there is an ethnicity of women famous for doing this. We need to end no fault divorce, and return to the previous system. In the meantime I advise people to return to contract law in marriage. Both parties signing a contract on how things should be settled in the case of divorce.

His parents would have needed to be able to communicate to travel so far. Yes when Rome adopted Christianity the gospels were culled to those too popular to be deleted and those least outspoken against Rome. But throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, portions of gospels, including gnostic gospels excluded by Rome have turned up, predating Rome's conversion by centuries. It turned me off him completely for a long time, and I'm not aware he ever recanted. He claimed he wished the vax for polio had been mandated but instead he caught polio. I was shocked that such a learned person could fall for such black and white self centered thinking. I see it among many people his age regarding the vax. There's a man I know in his 70s proud to announce he will never see his kids or grandkids again as the grandchildren are not vaccinated. However the joke is on him. Every day he goes to the pub, and since bartending is one of the few jobs in Australia where you don't need to be vaxed, 100% of the staff are unvaxed.

I'm in Australia, and for two years police have committed discusting brutality against people peacefully protesting lockdowns and mandates, the police have even attacked them with sonic weapons causing radiation burns. I have seen atrocities in Canada as well. Here an Aboriginal women died in custody in a covid concentration camp, for the crime of sharing a house with someone who tested positive. And yet the media was completely silent about the brutality everywhere.

  147. I'm Australian, and considered by world standards to live in a democracy. In most of the country it is impossible to work in any field unless you are medically experimented upon every three months or so. In at least one territory you can be forcibly, vaccinated and/ or removed from your home and kept in solitary confinement in the purpose built concentration camps our taxes paid for, in which one lady has already died. You can be arrested and even jailed, for reading the Bible aloud as the Bible is recognised as hate speech towards gay and trans people. All this happened under a conservative government, whose Prime Minister was publically praised for using covid to advance the WEFs goals for the Reset. Our opposition party opposes nothing, so we have no effective democratic solution. Our first plane load of Ukrainian refugees were sent straight to a concentration camp for solitary confinement for covid breaches. When 500 000 Australians peacefully protested the way we are being treated, they were fired upon with sonic weapons, causing radiation burns and other injuries.   157. Babysitting 5 -12 yo after school, I see a generation like no other in my lifetime. Parents have zero control over children being transitioned. So all the girls have long hair always full of ribbons, whilst boys look like they joined the army in 1950. They never touch a toy or play a game that does not stereotypically fit their sex. Twelve year old girls will fuss over baby dolls all day long just like six year olds, and boys only play rough and tumble games. The older kids get the more they realise what depends on it. Future feminists might find it very hard to find recruits.

  158. I married young and delayed university until my kids were in primary school. I told my daughters to do the same. I was a grandmother by my mid forties. Since the 1970s in Australia the back of lecture halls were the reserve of nursing mothers. There needs to be a change in people's thinking.

  163. In my Australian state there are a lot of engendered bathrooms. They were built before this nonsense. Some seem to date to the 1960s. But they are bathrooms not cubicles. They have solid doors and walls, a toilet, a sink, and often a babies change table. I often think adopting this idea would be one way of keeping women safe.

As you say they become your major focus. I made very different decisions. I married young and had my children 19-25. I went to university when the youngest started school, about the age of 30. There were tons of women my age and older. My husband and I have travelled extensively in our 30s and 40s. Our daughters have adopted my strategy, and I now have six school aged grandkids and we are all planning a month of travel later this year. One of my daughters, with her husband and kids is currently on holiday in Japan. I have no regrets either.

I live in rural Australia and most people, even those in their twenties, thirties and forties, have 2-6 kids. This includes the well educated, such as the GPs. But most are working class living in three bedroom houses. Not uneducated or welfare class, but trained trades people earning $80-100,000.

  167. My husband's uncle came out in the 60s, and my husband's family started applying in the 1970s. Eventually the uncle sponsored them guaranteed them, committing to employ and house them in 1981. Like a convict my husband wasn't allowed to finish school and instead he was forced to do an apprenticeship he hated. But he does love Australia and has no regrets. How's the US? I always found their health system a bit scary.

Recently a grandmother was stabbed in a shopping centre carpark. The "No" campaign warned that it was a slippery slope towards the sexualisation and transitioning of children. But they were bashed and deplatformed. It was not a constitutional referendum done at the ballot station, being postal and on a subject that didn't concern most people, it became a matter of who could get their hands on the most ballot papers. Religious people were promised exemption along with schools. But even conservatives crossed the floor to vote against it, so it never happened. So little Catholic private schools were parents last resort. But all of a sudden every mother (and they are mothers ) who wants the glamour and attention of having a four year old child who is gender fluid suddenly decided their child needs a strict RC education. So even these schools are becoming a worry for parents as they have no legal standing, only the church. I would go further and bring up feminism, which has entirely destroyed society and the family. And their sexual morality is dreadful as well. To really have a decent society women need to get locked in the kitchen and gays need to be locked in the closet. In my country I can date everything that set the stage to destroy morality to 1973-75. Sorry for the lengthy post, I did warn it was beer time 😁

  178. In my Australian state most public toilets are unisex. This predates this nonsense. I think the reasoning was more like say a man takes his daughter to the park and she needs to go to the toilet. If it's a unisex toilet the father can inspect there is no one lurking and no syringes or other hazards, before his daughter uses it. He couldn't do this if they are separated by sex. In some toilets separated by sex men don't have access to change tables for babies either. These unisex toilets are rooms with solid walls and doors not cubicles. And they ussually have a toilet, a hand sink and often a babies change table. If gyms and schools really wanted to deal with this problem they could do so in this way. The fact that they don't show their is evil at play.

But inflation has destroyed it. $20 a week barely buys bread and butter these days. Apparently the government says women prefer subsidised daycare. As I see it the elites benifited immensely from feminism. It tripled the tax base, mum, dad and the babysitter. It doubled the cost of housing and the rich have real estate portfolios. And it reduced wages without decreasing consumerism. By the 90s they'd dragged every mother out to work. And then the realised they could replicate it every year with immigration.

Just because there is little illegal immigration, does nothing to decrease numbers. If anything the tighter the border is kept, the higher the numbers go. This is totally bipartisan and it doesn't matter who you vote for. The whole legal/ilegal argument is just to avoid sounding racist. I assure you if ethnically diverse people with no skills and unable to speak English arrive in your country, does it really matter whether they came with or without the permission of the government. The vast majority of people don't want either, in large numbers. Nor is it an accident that every anglosphere country is facing replacement level immigration at the exact same time. And they are among the third of parents who pay modest school fees to send their kids to Christian schools because they are more conservative than government schools, and less appealing to some immigrants. I also live rurally. We have a centre right MP. But these women I know might not be representative. Another thing to consider with our elections is that our last census shows that more than half of the people voting are recent immigrants. If you have a grandparent born in the country you are a minority and your vote doesn't matter. And yes we get fined if we don't get our name marked on the electoral roll, and take a ballot into the ballot booth. Having done this much almost everyone fills it in.

However the government says rural towns need diversity and have a special rural visa where you have to live in a rural town for a few years, and we had a family who were very unhappy. They didn't like it that the town only has Christian churches, and the closest mosque was over 200km, and that nobody spoke their language. And yes the wife complained that the Christmas party had alcohol, and the town has three pubs. Indeed they were so unhappy that when the borders opened after covid they went home. So maybe rural visas do work. But it begs the question, before applying for a visa to rural Australia you think they'd do some research into what to expect in an Australian town of 3000 people.

However the last time, as a nation , we had replacement birth rates (an average of 2.1 per woman) was 1976. Today it is 1.63. So our population is shrinking. People are living longer than in 1976, but this accounts for about 10% only. As for the other phenomenon you mention, most of everyone in Australia lives in cities. But this is also happening in rural towns due to the current migrants for the regions policy. I have my own thoughts on why.

  224. Years ago there was a big TV scandal. One migrant man had four social houses. One for himself and one for each of his three wives. And yet it's actually ilegal to have more than one wife in this country. As for the failed state that's actually the only way this ends. I live rurally and yes we also get sent migrants we don't want. But they are not in enclaves. Wages are higher, but cost of living is incredibly high and it costs $235 a week to rent one room, some people from the Philippines and parts of Asia are going home because they are worse off here.

Many were brought against their will, but they were white British. We were settled because the US fought a war against the British and stopped taking British convicts because they favoured African slaves.

The US had for a long time preferred indentured servants as well, for centuries in fact. But Australians were horrified and angered by the practice. One of the main reasons Australia federated was to end the practice. The first act of the federal government was to legislate the White Australia Immigration Policy to ensure it could never happen again. I assure you I know my country's history.

But to avoid the fine you must stand in a long queue, get your name struck against the electoral roll, receive your ballot and enter a private ballot box. Having done this much almost everyone does vote. I have worked in elections and in my experience perhaps one in three thousand votes is invalid. The problem is that a large number of voters don't have a clue who they are voting for but still vote to avoid the fine. Add to this preferential voting means you are not voting for one individual you are merely ranking every candidate, which is typically 8+10 people in the lower house, and 20-30 in the senate. So our current Prime Minister only got 32% of valid votes. You are really only indicating who you want the least. So many people don't understand and they don't teach children how to vote in school anymore, only indoctrinate them to vote for Green communists. So put simply failing to vote is not a form of protest here. And there is no option that you describe, though you could invalidate your ballot by drawing your own.

After all they only need space for a double bed and a cot. We have the same problem with unaffordable housing. I was a landlord for a few years after my mother died. Many just want enough rent to cover the mortgage. So it's the cost of housing that pushes up the price, not the other way around. And it's immigration pushing the price up.

In 1970 we were a white and Aboriginal people, nominally Christian, Christian studies were part of the state primary curriculum. In 1973 Whitlam tore up the White Australia Policy, and replaced it with multiculturalism. He also introduced welfare for single mothers, "no fault" divorce and introduced the infamous 18C bill to end freedom of speech. He was sacked by the Queen's representative, but none of his laws were reversed.

Our garden was home to koalas and echidnas. Today it is six lanes of asphalt and a concrete jungle of high density housing and the animals are extinct in the wild. I've only struck unisex toilets for the 4-6 year olds, who are not really in danger. I guess if teachers want this nonsense they should be made to supervise. Actually here a large number of parents choose small private Christian schools. They are not expensive or elitist. But for many families if it's a choice between your kids learning about Jesus or 50 ways to change your gender, it's a no brainer. I know the toilets at my grandkids school are proper bathrooms. I've used the girls bathroom, it had a toilet, a sink, with pretty soaps, a mirror, and a shelf with sanitary napkins for girls old enough to reach the shelf. But they are nominated as boys or girls. Even in the 70s and 80s girls often got bashed by gangs of other girls in the toilets of government schools. I went to a religious highschool for this reason and so did my daughters. The school's I describe might only have 50- 90 students so if an incident occurs the culprit is easily identified and expelled. Whereas government schools don't expel violent kids.

I read that a third of Australian parents choose private schools and that there has been a 25% increase recently. I would not want my gkids to go to a government school these days. But if they've been led down the path of transitioning due to left winged government schools, that's forever.

The one I was involved with was in a shed, and parents and grandparents volunteered to teach lessons, I did history, geography and religion. This meant parents could still work. We moved as an extended family, to a rural town in a rural state. It's difficult to change things at a federal level, but easier at a local level. Take back your country village by village. We have affordable housing, if you are willing to settle for a small, 1950s three bed house. A great school. We have the farmers, we have the food. They can have the cities, we only need to go there occasionally. And as they deteriorate many will go home. The government now says migrants for the regions. We have had many success stories. We dealt really well with a family from Bangladesh. And a few workers from the Philippines, who are not as bad, found that the high wages came with a high cost of living, they are thinking of going home. And preference was given to people literate in English or atleast able to speak it. But it was all changed in 1973. The immigration policies our nation was literally formed to maintain, was changed to multiculturalism. Since then the policy seems to be to exclude people from the countries above. Further more immigration has gone from perhaps 50,000 per year to about a million.

  599. You made a big mistake leaving a religious vacuum in your country. I find in Australia Christianity is making a bit of a comeback among young people and conservatives. Even if you don't go to church, and I don't, wearing a big crucifix brings home to immigrants that they are in a Christian country. I'm so glad we don't have a NHS. Better to have to pay a bit than have immigrants getting free medical care. And no free school dinners. If you can't afford to feed your kids then you need a visit from child welfare. But having said that our immigration is even worse than yours. 900,000 + 2000 refugees a week.

And the government now favours migrants for the regions which means every tiny corner of the countryside where people can actually survive is equally diverse. Our last census shows that if you have a grandparent born in the country, even just one, you are a statistical minority and your vote doesn't matter. There are politicians who represent the Chinese voter, the Vietnamese voter etc. We nolonger have democracy in our own country.

Under the current Labor government we have gone from 24 million people to about 27. The highest per capita numbers in the west. Much higher than Europe or the UK. We see it with our eyes, media just confirms what we see. And the Chinese in particular buy Sydney apartments but refuse to rent them out. That's not media spin it's happened for decades.

In the 1980s they introduced an allowance paid to married mothers who didn't work. Inflation has eroded that to nothing. The current Labor government is introducing free childcare to help families. Alternatively, and during the same period, a man could claim a housekeeper (a wife who did not work) as a tax deduction paid weekly. In 1987 this was replaced with a government payment paid directly to married mothers who did not work. At first it was generous, but over the decades inflation has left it a mere pittance, and governments offer free daycare instead. Which is essentially the opposite. If given the choice, the tax deduction way was preferable as it was lined to the husbands income and less susceptible to inflation. Whereas the government allowance given by government, can more easily be taken by government.

Replacing the white immigration policy with multiculturalism destroyed social cohesion, and the power of Christian churchs over school curriculums. And introducing 18c, legislation to protect minorities from feeling offended, ended freedom of speech. Had these things not been done fifty years ago, they could never do what they do today. And the things in the school curriculum today can only be described as pedophilia. I suspect if you look through your own countries history of social "profession" you will find a similar pattern.

Nor do I think you've been a mother. Most women find it very painful to be separated from their babies for long. And why is 18-25 the best time to begin a career? You might get a job at 18, but it won't be a job you love. And why would you waste the period of your life when you are drop dead gorgeous at university having casual sex? Plenty of time for university After you've had babies. As I explained to Jane above, in my country only foreign students live on campus. Everyone else commutes as you would for a job. And they are all ages, many in their 50s and a very baby friendly environment. When I finally got my degree I went straight to the top, because of my age and real life experience, so I was the superior of all those 21 yo wanting a career. I retired at 45 and now I'm surrounded by grandkids. I know you won't believe me, but children are much more satisfying than a career.

In the very early years Britain sent doctors to tend convicts and guards, but as a largely British population, with some from western Europe and North America, we had the skills to build, roads dams and railways, and train doctors and nurses. As a seventh generation Australian I don't feel my family were ever enslaved.
