I moved from the Australian regional city I'd lived in my adult life when it became too dangerous for women to buy groceries unless the supermarket had armed police present. A grandmother died going to the supermarket there recently I'm so glad I moved but I shouldn't have had to. My government invited these people here.

@dpstrial I agree. They've all signed the same global agreements.

@worldmusictheory Australia is also an island and we are told our border is secure. But our government invites this problem in regardless of which party is in power. I had to leave the small regional city I'd lived in most of my adult life when it became unsafe even for grandmothers to buy groceries.

@dpstrial I'm Australian and we have preferential voting like some continental countries. So it's much more complicated. We have a Labor government currently, but it was a bit like your last election. The conservatives didn't conserve anything but bad Labor policies and they'd been in charge during covid, and were on the nose, especially when the PM was personally praised by Schwab. I personally give my first preference to far right parties. I don't know about sex, the breakdowns I've seen are more by age and suburb. Young people vote left, and so do the rich champagne socialists who can afford to care about climate change. Where as truck drivers, tradesmen, farmers etc vote for the coalition which used to be conservative but can't define a woman.

@joerobinson1672 In Australia they've realised that the cities just can't take more people. We actually have more immigration per capita than you guys. Now the official policy is immigrants for the regions (rural) areas.

@NessieT Of course. Every nation advanced nation in the UN.

@dpstrial I don't know, I've never seen a breakdown. And it's confusing here, voting is compulsory and all the major parties use mass immigration for GDP growth.

@dpstrial Yes I have heard that about the US election. I blame feminism and this demographic delaying marriage and motherhood. The women I know are mothers. And they are among the third of parents who pay modest school fees to send their kids to Christian schools because they are more conservative than government schools, and less appealing to some immigrants. I also live rurally. We have a centre right MP. But these women I know might not be representative. Another thing to consider with our elections is that our last census shows that more than half of the people voting are recent immigrants. If you have a grandparent born in the country you are a minority and your vote doesn't matter. And yes we get fined if we don't get our name marked on the electoral roll, and take a ballot into the ballot booth. Having done this much almost everyone fills it in.

@robinjonson4186 We always get told that you have successful immigration programs, but then, our media says the same thing about our country but it's not true.

@susanadisanto5825 I've said several times, Australia, why ?

@MrRadiorobot Sudanese got those things in Australia. And yet they have the highest representation in violent crimes.

@barryhamilton7845 Please read above. What you dream will never happen.

@susanadisanto5825 I can tell you how it works. If you don't get your name marked off the electoral roll, and take a ballot paper into the ballot box you get fined. Having put in that much effort most people do vote. I've worked counting votes and there is almost never a blank one. It wasn't my mother.

@Evettecord It also shows to me there is nothing accidental about any of this.

@carolinejohn4537 We have no go zones. And we have higher immigration per capita than the UK. Over half the people are recent immigrants and if you have a grandparent born in the country you are a minority. If a lot of people from one ethnicity gather in one area they take over. In this case Sudan. Recently a grandmother died in front of her six year old granddaughter as five of the above wanted to steal her car.
