I'm in Australia, and for two years police have committed discusting brutality against people peacefully protesting lockdowns and mandates, the police have even attacked them with sonic weapons causing radiation burns. I have seen atrocities in Canada as well. Here an Aboriginal women died in custody in a covid concentration camp, for the crime of sharing a house with someone who tested positive. And yet the media was completely silent about the brutality everywhere.

I lived through the period in Australia when multiculturalism was invented. In 1900 Australia was federated to introduce the White Australia Immigration policy. In 1970 we were a white and Aboriginal people, nominally Christian, Christian studies were part of the state primary curriculum. In 1973 Whitlam tore up the White Australia Policy, and replaced it with multiculturalism. He also introduced welfare for single mothers, "no fault" divorce and introduced the infamous 18C bill to end freedom of speech. He was sacked by the Queen's representative, but none of his laws were reversed.

More and more often online and in conversation I point out that I will now hold all cultures with the contempt with which the west is held. So far I've not received push back. I hope the tide is turning.

@bluelanterns2982 I'm actually a retired historian, my favourite Early Modern English history 1600-1800 so I've spent a lifetime reading primary documents from this era. You sound quite ignorant of history yourself. Offering sarcasm but unable to supply alternative facts. If you are so clever when was Australia settled and why, and what was the role of British convicts in the settlement of North America and Australia. Unless you're still in kindergarten facts outweigh post modern feelings in mature conversations.

@Stanley Blues Slavery was outlawed in Australia in 1786, two years before it was even settled by the British. Slavery continued in the US until 1865, and yet we are treated as if we are as bad as the US. And speaking of America, when it was a British colony most slaves were white, convicts and indentured servants. They were preferred over African slaves as they spoke the language etc. America became more involved in the Atlantic slave trade after the war of independence when they lost access to British convicts.

I point out in conversation and online that I treat other cultures with the contempt I see my own treated. If you are going to be accused of rascism you may as well make it worth while. So far I've had no pushback, a little chuckling, and a great deal of agreement. I suggest people give it a go. PS I don't actually use words that could be described as hate speech. Just terms like unwelcome, substandard culture, language etc. And I'm I Australia.
