  2. The issue for the Palestinians is not about a homeland ā€¦it is about the undoing of the creation of Israel. In 1947 the UN partitioned the land into two states, one for the Jews and one for the Palestinians. The Arabs could have had their OWN state in 1947 but they refused because they wanted to wipe out the Jews. The Arab armies tried to destroy Israel. The Palestinians could have had their own state during the 19 years of occupation of the West Bank and Gaza by Jordan and Egypt. Jordan is a Palestinian state mostly occupied by Palestinians. To deny the Jews a safe homeland after the horrors of the Holocaust is a disgrace. There are 22 Arab states. Israel is the only Jewish state. To carve another Arab state out of the only Jewish state is criminal.
