@cmonman85 Britain abolished slavery 32 years before America. It took a civil war costing 600,000 lives before America could abolish slavery. I hope the ancestors of the slave plantation owners in the deep south are apologetic. Are the Americans going to give the Native American Indians back their land that they stole? The trans-Atlantic slave trade was operated by France, Spain, Portugal, Dutch, not just Britain. More than a million European Christians were enslaved by Muslims and taken to North Africa between 1530 and 1780. Between 1600 and 1800, Arabs slave traders enslaved 1.4 million Africans. Some of these African male slaves were castrated and turned into Eunuchs who kept watch over the harems. Castration was particularly brutal with a 10% survival rate. Should we pull down the pyramids as they were built by slaves?
