@gurkslunga On May 24, Hitler gave the order to stop the German panther divisions going to Dunkirk. This was because Luftwaffe commander ‘Hermann Goering’ told Hitler that his air forces would stop any evacuation from Dunkirk. The Royal Air Force planes stopped most of the Luftwaffe planes from reaching the Dunkirk beaches, and lost a lot of RAF planes in the battle. The British Military put a call out to everyone in Britain that had a small boat to rescue the stranded soldiers. 1, 200 small boats, and fishing boats which were owned by British civilians sailed over to rescue the soldiers off the beaches. It was called the ‘Armada of little ships’ These small boats made numerous trips all night and day. 198,000 British and 140,000 French troops got off the beaches at Dunkirk—a total of 338,000 men. The German panther divisions were stopped from advancing to Dunkirk by orders from Hitler. The Germans panther divisions were not stopped by the French soldiers. It’s a pity the French government surrendered and capitulated so easily.🤷‍♀️

@gurkslunga The Anglo-Soviet Military Supplies Agreement of June 27, 1942, and the Russian-American agreement of June 11, 1942 sent military aid to Russia. Without this aid Russia would have lost the war to Germany. The US gave urgent military aid of — * 400,000 jeeps and trucks * 14,000 airplanes * 8,000 tractors * 13,000 tanks * More than 1.5 million blankets * 15 million pairs of army boots * 107,000 tons of cotton * 2.7 million tons of petroleum products (to fuel airplanes, trucks, and tanks) * 4.5 million tons of food * From 1941 through 1945, the U.S. sent 11.3 Billion dollars, in goods and supplies to Russia. Russia would have lost Stalingrad and Kursk … without the military aid and supplies from the Allies. 🤷‍♀️

@vincentkermorgant The Russian soldiers fought to stop the invasion of their country after Hitler broke the Russian / German “Non-aggression Pact” in which Russia sided with Germany. The U.K. will always be grateful to America …. because Britain stood ALONE against the whole of Europe. Without the military might of America the D-Day landings would have never taken place. God Bless America 🇺🇸 Britain never liked the EU… and was always grateful to America for helping Britain in its time of need…when Britain stood alone against the whole of Europe…..
