Tariffs as high as 10% will be removed on a huge range of UK goods, from clothing and footwear to buses, ships, bulldozers and excavators, giving British exporters an advantage over international rivals in the New Zealand import market - a market which is expected to grow by around 30% by 2030. High-quality New Zealand products loved by British consumers, from Sauvignon Blanc wine to Manuka honey and kiwi fruits, could be cheaper to buy.

@stevehall6299 Ms Von der Leyen said: “We have been concerned about the independence of the Polish judiciary for some time. It is a direct violation of EU Law. EU case law rests on the principle the EU has supremacy over national laws. Does the EU nation states want a closer union with the EU and become an EU nation or would they rather be a nation state?

@walkingwithshadows Its a deal to suit Britain not modified to suit the other 27 EU Nations. Who’s interests conflict with Britain.

It’s called having your own wallet and not having to share it with 27 nation states.

@MrFuckwit999 It was an EU treaty not an International treaty. EU law take precedence over national law. The EU member states are exactly like Scotland. Scotland can make some decisions but important decisions are made by Westminster. British law is supreme. This is because Britain is the one country. We all have a British passport. There is no border between Scotland and England because we are the United Kingdom of Britain. The European Union is one nation like the U.K.
1
@MrFuckwit999 Maybe if U.K. farmers stopped over regulating their produce it would be more competitive. It’s the supermarkets that will do business with New Zealand. If the lamb sells then the supermarkets will continue to buy from New Zealand.

@Fast_Ultralight The European Union is the one nation, the one country. Where EU law is supreme. 🇪🇺 Just like the United Kingdom of Britain. Where U.K. law is supreme.🇬🇧

@verystripeyzebra So if the 26 EU member states voted for something my country was against and my country didn’t have a veto. I would have to except the ruling of the 26 EU states. I would rather leave and not have my country held to ransom by 26 other EU states. No wonder the EU is Poles apart.
