Tate & Lyle were forced to pay 35 percent duty on non-EU imports before they were allowed to sell their products on the British market. Leaving the EU has enabled Tate & Lyle to ditch the EU trade tariffs. British businesses can now trade on level terms with the rest of the world which was impossible when in the EU.

EU tariffs forced Tate & Lyle to pay a 35 percent duty on non-EU imports before they were allowed to sell their products on the British market. Leaving the EU has enabled Tate & Lyle to ditch the tariffs. Britain can compete as an independent country on fair terms with the rest of the world which was not possible when in the EU. The high trade tariffs imposed by the EU was making Non-EU imports more expensive and forcing businesses to trade with the over-regulated EU which is just a protection racket.

  3. The U.K. can now trade freely with the whole world. No more subsidising inefficient French farmers, no more money paid to our farmers to keep their fields barren so as not to flood the market with cheap foods. The U.K. is no longer the EU’s second largest contributor paying in 300 Million a week. The EU wasn’t tariff free we were paying the EU 300 Million a week for what ? China is now the U.K.’s largest importer. The US is the UK’s largest exporter. The Commonwealth countries are now almost 100 years old and comprise of 54 nations globally and a population of over 2.5 billion people and an average annual growth of 9%. This makes it the LARGEST trading group in the world. I can’t think of a single reason to be back in the EU. Can you?

  4. The UK did not leave the single market. The British people voted to bring back the decision making powers to Westminster which were handed over to Brussels by our government without public consultation. At no point did the British Government or the people ever ask to leave the trading block. That decision was made by the EU. Of course the UK did most of its trade with Europe, because that is what we signed up to for 30 years. The British people did not sign up to handing over its sovereign power to a bunch of unelected undemocratic EU dictators. The future will be different because the U.K. are increasing its trade with the largest growth areas in the world. The EU has no projected growth. The UK will pick up yield going forward and the EU will continue to stagnate. The UK was a net importer of goods from the EU. This demonstrates that the EU has damaged all of the member state's economic prospects by applying restrictions on trading with the UK.
