  2.  @NoBoilerplate  It was just that faint hint of contempt. ;) I've always had a love/hate relationship with JS.... "It is the best of languages, it is the worst of languages" and always feel the need to come to it's defence. ;)

  4.  @NoBoilerplate  I've not "gone TS" yet... but the lure of strong typing does seem awfully tasty. Sadly, most of what I do at work is PHP :( ... and you can be as disparaging about that as you like. ;)
