  4. Sorry, amateur chemist here... "Phosphor" is really really really not "Phosphorus"... (although, apparently, in German, the two words ARE identical) The brightness of modern LEDs still blows me away... when I was a kid, I had an electronics kit and the only way you could see the LEDs were on in bright daylight was if you shielded them with your hand.
