  2. Nice clear, lucid description. I remember asking an electrician what an RCD was and he told me "it's an RCD".... so thanks. In the UK we have RCDs that you can plug into a normal socket (outlet) and then plug an outdoor device into the RCD. Can you tell us how a "normal" breaker works next?
