  1. Such a position may re-assert itself in time because it is natural, appealing and stable, but we will have to go through extremely bad times to get there. Extreme economic hardship and irreversible alienation are baked into the pie and the suffering for the next few decades will be intense. We don't know how it will pan out but it's likely that young men will be lead into some kind of attempted overthrow. One question is whether the leviathan, in control of extraordinary technology, will be able to control another group of young men (military, police) to do their killing for them, or whether the cultural zeitgeist will see this latter group defect in significant numbers to the uprising. What women as a group do won't matter much, they will wait on the side-lines and f*ck the winners, as it ever was. I do not rejoice in any of this.

  2. And a new generation of young men comes along immediately on the heels of the last. Do you imagine it will be better or worse for young men in 10 or 20 years? It will be worse and the rightward drift will accelerate massively, the left is incapable of meeting their needs. Some of your generation will sit on the side-lines being a slug, others will lead the boys. You will be forced to pick sides. If you don't pick a side, you will be defined as useful or not to each tribe of combatants. Please get real. The issues you discuss are irrelevant to the process and outcome as huge forces are unleashed.

  3. Not chance. Stochastic on one level but reflective of the mind in all its profundity. Synchronicity. Meaning. The concordance of the universe with what we need to know. All the wisdom traditions understand that things do actually work in this way, not all the time, but just as needed.
