  1. The video makes the point multiple times that the cause in 1971 was going off the gold standard. That was a deliberate government plan. Most boomers were teenagers in 1971. Wealth and power accruing to them subsequently was due to the lag before the consequences of money printing kicked in. Money printing massively increased government power so they could bribe voters and feed profits to corporations. Blame government, not ordinary people (although everyone's voting habits maintain the delusion).

  2. Going off the gold standard allowed endless money printing so that governments could bribe voters, make them dependent on government, increase power etc. Women and unproductive areas of society flourished at the expensive of the productive. So did corporations.
