@ScarletRiley The silent treatment is far from toxic when the toxicity is emanating from the other side. By refusing to validate drama it enervates that toxicity and eventually allows reason to enter the space. It is not necessarily passive aggressive, it can be patient and a form of leadership.

@roses6564 "That’s not for him to decide." Who is this he/him you are referring to? The OP (carlospita6442), or Dr. Orion Taraban in the video? How can you assert what he can or cannot decide? Who is the "us" you refer to? You and me, the commentators, society at large? How do you know he is a mountain of ego? Based on what? How can you claim that a "monopoly" on toxicity is assumed by one party in regards the other? Could it not be the case that when toxicity appears in the counterparty, silence can be an appropriate response? You seem to be saying that you alone have the ability to decide what people think, do and say, and that you can decide unilaterally what should apply in all situations. Then you accuse others of ego. You are cray cray, your sentences lack grammatical clarity, your assumptions are swingeing, you are setting up strawman arguments for the sake of your own ego and adding nothing to a debate on interpersonal dynamics other than wild accusations. Calm down. Stop pointing fingers based on boogie men in your own imagination.

@roses6564 Silly attempt to twist words. Obviously the comment is conditional with the word 'when'. Not always, "when". In those circumstances., when that occurs, in dependence upon that etc. Thus, you agree with me in your use of "Maybe, maybe not". So why are you arguing? For the sake of arguing, or appearing clever? You cannot be trusted to follow a grammatical and logical sequence and do not come across as clever or considered. You have added nothing to the discussion, what a bore.
