  1. Having no one really in any position of power that’s truly an environmentalist(as in caring about people, life, eco-centric, anti capitalist) is going to doom us. I’m so fucking tired of having to justify doing the right thing being defined by purely economics.

No. Not demonstrably proven and I do not trust the standards of the US nor the circumstances of how we govern private companies in this country. So no. I’m not pro nuclear at this junction. Climate change isn’t just a hole to plug, it’s a wicked problem. It requires societal change. And you know it. You just…wanna be right more than anything.

  9.  @mkklassicmk3895  This might shock you, but there’s a lot of crossover between climate change, climate mitigation, clean energy, climate solutions and ecology/conservation/sustainability. Don’t retreat from that claim of me not having a degree so suddenly. As it stands, the US/world is not equipped for nuclear power to be the forefront clean energy solution(heavily debatable on “clean energy” btw). It’s just not. That’s why it’s slowing in that area. Treating symptoms(which is what any green energy really is) is not nearly enough, if the system is rotten and the infrastructure is rotten. Sounds simple but it’s complex, hence the usage of “wicked problem”.
