You did the meme, you did the “yet you participate in society, curious” meme. Dear lord. Mr. Beast’s philanthropy, like most philanthropy, is for selfish reasons and tax reasons, it’s vanity. You want to help the environment? Wonderful, donate and find groups who specialize in that work, same goes for any charity/activist group. Mr. Beast got rich and is exploiting philanthropy and activism to get even more, it’s pure vanity.

@guccipucci8801 Not the point, Mr. Beast makes being poor, an aesthetic of his videos it’s quite creepy. Secondly, philanthropy from rich people, is more bad than good, that’s not to say that people don’t benefit from it-they so snd good for them however it’s across the board bad. Rich people philanthropy, is practically subsidized by tax payers and instead of going into funding across the board via taxes, it’s targeted and hyper focused and is a big time write off. So no, not a good thing. Also, if you wanna donate money to causes as a rich person, go off on go fund me or whatever organizations are already doing the work and doing it better rather than stepping into the space and intruding on it and taking away from the orgs. And do it quietly? Don’t make it a video and get more money and more branding and more press. Also ffs, stop with the NFTs and crypto, it’s bad for the environment.
