Annoys me so much when dumb chuds are like “this can’t make sense biologically!!” Meanwhile science is over here pretty much saying “yeah no there’s no real issues here. Carry on”

There’s an incredible amount of nuance and variables in this. So yeah, let them compete with their identified gender, there’s very little data to even suggest that they have an “advantage”. I’m a relatively small cis man and I’d get absolutely demolished competing against women, doesn’t make it unfair. Also takes away the importance of training and practice. Michael Phelps had a distinct advantage due to genetics, he wasn’t deemed unfair. This shit is just rooted in transphobia, ignorance and bastardized views on gender and sex and understanding how bodies work.

Especially when she was previously successful before transitioning..

@KilimnikGenya yeah when I say “all good carry on” I mean as things are right now, not enough data to prove anything across a large data set. Generally it’s small groupings and can’t be fully representative. One study said 7% and one said not enough definitive proof. So it varies. *Thats fine*. But if there isn’t enough data to make a definitive conclusion, then we can’t make rules barring people from entry, that’s wrong.

My brother has just gone full transphobia on this issue. Tried acting like because he works out and plays Sunday league soccer that he has some authority on this matter. Meanwhile my friends who actually play professionally and compete collegiately, haven’t had a single issue.

@KilimnikGenya one thing you fail to mention(which is understandable) is that much of our opinions and views and therefore a foundational bias, is found in research trying to actually prove that their is an advantage. If you seek an answer, you will always skew data and views and interpretations towards that. It’s how humans work and it’s why peer review and countless research is vitally important.

@KilimnikGenya okay I see you’re coming from a good place. Sorry if I came across combative. More data/research is always better. IMO we should change how we classify things and make it more inclusive that way.

@KilimnikGenya yeah there’s the side that wants more info but are fine with it until proper research is done and then there’s the side that comes from transphobic talking points and assumptions and those are the loudest voices typically

@dr.anaB777 yes, and that was obviously a anecdotal joke.
2
@Chuck26814 you’re purposefully using that as a metric. Top 400 includes A lot of spaces buddy

Aren’t there just like 8 cases of this?
1
@oliverxhmll point being, everyone has advantages, it isn’t distinctive to gender.

@atticusrex2691 I’m fine with genuine deep dive into discussion with facts and all, it’s just 90% of the “this is unfair!!” Comes from ignorance and transphobic talking points. There’s discussions and solutions to be had, but there definitely isn’t enough data to barr entry. That’s my point
1
@steadyrow no it’s not and it’s absolutely absurd that a group of people(speaking on left leaning people) who are all about “facts and data!!” Suddenly stop considering facts and data on trans issues.

Thank you!!

@dr.anaB777 clearly a fucking mocking joke

@Becca_Lynn see what you’re doing Becca? Science says “nothing really definitive so don’t make up a ruling on it. Let them compete and do each individual case, don’t Barr them from entry. But you don’t want to listen
