Only thing I can add thats not redundant, is that I can confidently claim that I and people like me and better than me(ecologists and every activist and other scientist and others) are never going to stop trying to make things better, everywhere. Every bit of progress made means lives saved and thats enough to keep me going, despite the shit storm thats here and all to come.

  8. Another thing that looking at averages does, although a good metric, average removes the fact that some areas are already well above 1.7 degrees and even over 2 degrees in some areas, generally just not western countries so it gets no press.
