@likeguiltdoes It’s just common people learning science terms not actually understanding the whole story and just running with their “own opinions”. I’m a conservation biologist and disease spread from animal to humans are not insane and is of common concern and gain of function tests happen all the time just about every where.

@Joshshuababa a lab leak being possible? Fine, albeit EXTREMELY rare so it’s just a perfect coincidence that a pandemic that we’ve been due for decades only happened because of a conspiracy theory? You don’t have to actually eat the bat for it to spread, that’s not how zoonotic diseases happen.

The lab leak hypothesis is less possible than a zoonotic disease transmission especially with the wet markets and such. That’s not racist towards Chinese people, they also just have animals that are much more likely to transmit and those wet markets aren’t generally up to snuff in accordance with health guidelines. Stop with this shit.
