Yes I'd love to learn more about SSH tunneling. Is it as secure as a VPN or should it be used alongside a VPN?

Great video, I will be sure to send this to any beginners as this pretty much covered everything. Unfortunately, Windows does not seem to support ssh-copy-id however it does support ssh and ssh-keygen, for this reason I created a PowerShell module for myself called PS-CopyID which kind of does the same thing as ssh-copy-id but it needs a lot of work... Hopefully I will get some time to fix it soon

I thought I first tried Linux in 2009 with ubuntu but looking back at the releases, the ones that look most similar to what I remember are 11.x and 12.x (I might have to mess around with those in a VM now). I really started using Linux back when the raspberry Pi came out and started using Linux heavily when I discovered Home Assistant back in 2016 and now I use Linux daily

Does KVM perform better than for example VMWare on Windows? I don't use vm's on my local computer much because despite me having the resources to do so, I have in the past had issues with audio on my host machine being out of sync after using VMWare (fixes itself after a reboot) not sure why this happened

I have pretty much switched everything to Debian too, my main dev vm is still Ubuntu. I might end up switching that soon. Though and I am still trying to look for a replacement for Fedora CoreOS, I like it because it is lightweight, immutable and always keeps itself up to date without any configuration I tried asking on Twitter (I really shouldn't have, twitter is a mess) and just got a angry response from a RedHat employee defending RedHat for their decision to lock down RHEL source code, then saying they would not have the power to do anything to Fedora since it is community run. But seeing all this unfold I just really don't feel comfortable running anything RHEL based and I am not sure I trust anything they say. Is there anything like Fedora CoreOS that is Debian based? because I have been struggling to find anything like it

Mastodon is very cool, but brands aren't there yet and occasionally reaching out on Twitter is the only option, like today I tried to submit a file to Microsoft as it was being caught as a false positive in Defender and it was rejected do to the file being too large, even though it let me upload it, so I asked what I should do on Twitter and got a response from someone on the defender team, its things like that, I will miss if Twitter goes away. The Mastodon UI could use some improvement but maybe that's just me, because I like the Twitter UI. I signed up for mastodon under the mastodon(dot)social instance but I find it to be slow and might migrate to another instance but there are just so many options to choose from and I don't know how a migration will work yet. It's a lot of getting used too but I think I will end up liking Mastodon
