I was surprised that the piece said that you could have a pistol in NI for personal protection. I didn't know that.

@joemoody7440 it is difficult to believe that the 100 Neo-nazis in the Azov Battalion could even try to ethnically cleanse Luhansk and Donetsk; city/regions of hundreds of thousands of people.

@snnetwork8420 how were Russian speakers prevented from participating in the 2019 elections?

These civilians have a choice. They don't have to pick up arms, but in doing so, they change from being non-combatants, to being combatants. If I was Ukrainian I would certainly fight to expel the invader.

@joemoody7440 where’s the evidence that there are more? In all the clips we never see more than a handful of people who definitely are neo-nazis.

@Rs-mp3ru you make my point for me! You are referring to information that is 8 years out of date!

@snnetwork8420 So we can't really know how many voted inthe referendum, or how they voted?

@Rs-mp3ru I beleive the BBC have mostly told the truth, both previously and now. It is difficult for foreign journalists to get insight into what the Azov Battalion was doing and is doing, in part because helped turn Donbas into a war zone, and then invaded Ukraine and unleashed very imprecise weapons. I would still like to know a lot more about the war in the Donbas. The one thing I feel certain of is that the Ukrainian army, the Azov Battalion, and the seperatists have all, and some time or other, perpetrated some horrific acts on their fellow Ukranians. The question now is can any Ukrainian move beyond the horror of what has been done to create a new, peaceful future?
