I suspect that there are technical ways of removing GHGs from the atmosphere, but there is currently no reward for doing so. If we said to China we will pay you $X for every ton of GHGs you remove from the atmosphere, they would have it done in five years, but we don't seem willing to pay the price of solving the problem.

@axeman2638 One of the points made in the video is that our knowledge has improved over time. They didn't tell it would happen by now. They thought it would be years away, but as the science has improved, we now know that THIS is the decade where it will be won or lost.

Not to mention FCS and System W, which were mainframe programs that implemented the idea of a spreadsheet but without showing the spreadsheet on screen like VisiCalc did. VisiCalc was a visual version of programs that came before it. Dan’s innovation was not the spreadsheet. It was the idea is showing the spreadsheet on the screen!
