  1. Donbas does not need liberating. It is not under the control of anyone other than the elected officials. Many people in Donbas don't like who the majority elected, but fighting for 8 years hasn't solved the problem, so perhaps peace talks should be tried again - once Russia has left Ukrainian territory.

  2. Russia has already issued Russian passports to people in Donestk and Luhansk in preparation for their annexation of the Donbas. I don't know the number of people in Donetsk and Luhansk that have dual nationality (Ukraine and Russian) but I expect it would be quite a few because Russia has been issuing these passports since 2014.

  3. About 50% of Ukrainians in the Donestsk and Luhansk oblasts are pro-Russian - many of these are ethnically Russian rather than Ukrainian. The others are for a free Ukraine. These will be the pro-freedom Ukrainians who are travelling west to move out of the area where Russia has said they are now going to concentrate their forces.

  5.  @Abby-yc7tt  This is against the Geneva Convention, so it can't be done. Using trained professionals is the only way to do it, and hence why Ukraine needs help as the Russians have left so much behind them.
