  1. I thought Moldova might be next on Putin's list, but Moldova doesn't have the natural resources that Ukraine has. I think Putin will take over the Transnistria region (east of the Dniester River) for sure, but will not bother will Moldova. Ukraine will wage a insurgent war against the Russian army for many years, and so the Russian Army will not have the capacity to fight in Moldova, but might offer so much financial support that Moldovans might accept becoming a puppet state.
