  1. I think it more likely that the advances will come from Artificial Intelligence (AI). Once each blade on the rotor can be controlled independently, an AI algorithm is more likely to find the most efficient way of controlling the blades in dynamic situations. Materials science and metrology are also important. If the AI can't measure a parameter, materials science might mean that the AI can ignore it.

  2. And also how we generate power. The cycloidal propeller would also function as a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine. The Vertical Power A32 is just such a machine.
