  1. Don' forget that in the UK, anyone can arrest anyone who is in the process of commiting an indictable (or either way) offence. BlackbeltBarrister has a video about Citizens Arrest with some valuable advice. Deciding to arrest someone when the police will not attend a crime is probably going to result a problem, if not a prosecution, as by the time you have consulted with the Police and found that they will not turn out, the crime will have been committed and the basis on which you might lawfully arrest someone is no longer valid.

  3. Is it possible for a private individual to obtain a search warrent from a Magistrate? Has anyone ever tried?
