I think this would make an interesting video. There are many areas of private property, such as shopping malls, that members of the public are allowed to access freely (during opening hours), but where the access is granted due to certain rules, such as behaviour or dress. The boundary between 'public' and 'private' spaces is interesting.

It is reasonable to ask for a copy of the terms of a contract, and the parking company should supply it - they are going to have to provide a printed copy of it for the court if they want to take legal actions, so send you a copy and noting that you have received it is a sensible step for them to take. Your technical point about credit card makes no sense if, practically, an enforcible debt is created.

You are correct; parking charges have been struck off because the signage was too small or only appeared in a place where someone was unlikely to see it. The 'better' parking companies (if there is such a thing) have got wise and now make sure that there is adequate signage in their car parks.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I find contract law and the civil courts interesting because it is the forum where arguments get settled.
