The other episodes in the Hawaiian series made me not want to go there, this gentleman talks the talks and walks the walks of his ancestors. His dad had it right, you can’t stop progress but you can slow it down and keep your culture. It’s heart breaking to think a tsunami wiped out a whole village. My condolences for loosing your father and mother in such a short time, but you are the seed that he nourished and passed it down to your children. Noho ora mai rā, nā Lance on Vancouver island.🙂

@SirNova2o9 I think you mean believe in god, Jesus was a real person who became a martyr. As he was being taken away to be crucified he comforted his followers and asked for forgiveness from his god for those that killed him. This fire and brimstone going to hell is a shtick to scare people into believing. We live in modern times, there’s room for having an ancient belief and rituals, and still have the teachings of Jesus of tolerance and forgiveness. I don’t believe in god and Jesus made it possible to just be a good person or be a flawed person and worship in your own way, if the earth plants animals and elders are what you believe in..that is their god.

@seanobrien7169 I’m sorry to waste your time, and I have read the bible. It was one thing I wanted to understand so I read a passage every night, all of the chapters are written from heresy after his death. These are based on Jewish scripture and embellishment, and so is the New Testament. Jesus has already saved me from corrupt religious leaders, he sacrificed his religion and spoke out against them and he paid with his life. That is world shaking. He created a religion that anyone in the world can join, or not. It’s in your heart and soul, and if I’m going to hell…so be it.

@SirNova2o9 he’s dead, it’s funny how I get attacked by non believers and believers in the same comment section. 😂 Yeah it’s all fairytales, but there’s a reason in the teachings. There’s no supernatural power that’s going to save anyone, just guidance from the past. Be it spiritual or religious leaders it’s in our DNA, as I said there’s room for both.
