  1.  @questioneverything4491  Hi, That sounds like my idealistic view. I was married for 28 years. To an intelligent, capable, beautiful young woman. Who, as an infant, had numerous bowel surgeries. She went to sleep, with a blankie. I thought that with love and gentleness, she would feel safe. It never happened. In the end, she felt guilty, i was frustrated. And yes, she went for years, to three different therapists. I wasn't invited. Because that would have challenged her comfort level.
