She is on point. One income families, has always been, the rare exception. With farm, or rural life, everyone is working, at what they are best at. It’s city life, that has made it confusing. When the work is external, to the home. When one income, isn’t quite enough. Both parties need to be adaptable, and dedicated.

@justinhunt6929 Thank you Justin. How about one more. I don’t know anything about your relationship dynamics. My ex wife is a great person in so many ways. But she had bowel surgeries as an infant. As a result she doesn’t trust touch. But doesn’t like to be alone. I was a preemie, because dad tried to get mom to miscarriage. Physical contact is my drug of choice. The advice bit, don’t jump into another relationship too fast. Nurture your self, and your family/friend relationships. I remarried someone who resembled my first. A quality capable person. Who has guilt and shame issues around her body, and expressing it. So again, there are some frustrations around this issue. It’s not nearly as bad, at least we can talk about it. Be yourself, engage with the world. There are many flawed, but wonderful people out there.

Sorry for your loss. I went through this, after 25 years of marriage. Feel the pain, don’t try to bury it. As dismissive as this sounds. If you can appreciate, that we all have our pains, and challenges. It won’t feel like it, for a while. But take this as a chance to embrace life.

When families come into new wealth. Is a dangerous situation for their kids. Like with China’s little emperors. The parents want a better “easier” life for their child.

@lindagirl1140 Mind if I jump in? Linda, please don't berate yourself. As Justin said, we all show our love differently. My wife says, that I have no idea how much she loves me. That I can't go deep enough (spiritually) to understand her feelings. Her feelings, are beyond the physical. At a higher level of consciousness. She doesn't need all that touchy kissy stuff. So yes, the bedroom is a place of conflicted feelings, for me. With lots of meditation, to sleep. Unless I'm on my own. Touching him more, would have meant nothing to him. As a reflection of my character, I open doors, walk kerb side, little touches, and try to do thoughtful things. Knowing it should be done independently of expectation. But you can't help, wanting some in return. If that's part of how you communicate. It's not your looks Linda. Do you love a child, or a pet, with your whole heart? Clownshow, I’m right with you. Everyone needs to lighten up, and share some good will, at minimum a smile. Society today is so insular and isolating. Drawing them out?? HaHaHa. My wife is a wonderful companion, very smart, and proficient. But terrified to open up, to initiate affection, to look into my eyes. She says “I hate you, when you sexualize me”. I’m old enough to not be so hurt, and laugh at the irony.
