  2. 97 first year for the awd, it only came in manual. I have two in silver. They sold 204 if them in Canada, but not in the States. One is my work vehicle, the other I’m restoring. ( my wife drives a 97 glt wagon, sister a 98xc, and my daughter a 94 940) The 240 is garaged. Having old Volvo’s, can be an affliction.

  3. Hey,,, I have two silver manual 97 850awd’s swapped both 2.4’s, for 2.3’s. I’m a building maintenance contractor. With a roof box, and ladders, on the roof, can still get into underground parking. And get to drive a turbo, manual.

  4.  @fcpeuro  I know of one other contractor who uses an 850 wagon. It’s not a thing, as much as I’m a Volvo nut. (I have 6 right now).
