  2. It doesn’t look like those farmers, will ever get a better price. The farmer in Thailand, was not allowed to bargain, with the Chinese buyer.

  5.  @broadleyboy2  Yes, fair trade practices, if it can be verified. Would only add a small amount to the price. While giving much more social, and environmental benefit.

  6. Retreads should like a good idea, for using less. The farmers need, what we have in Canada, for dairy farmers. Quota, that matches the demand. The farmer, gets a reliable predictable price. That allows them a good living. In the USA, they over produce, the prices go down. The farmer sells out, to the large corporations. Then they are beholden, to the company. The consumer gets a cheaper product, at a cost, to the farmer, and to quality, (their health).
