To me, a whole cultural mindset is needed to have this privilege. It’s about respecting the common good, what is good for society, nature. Same with the freedom of speech, and gun ownership. It comes with individual responsibility, to be mindful, of other people’s freedoms to be. More respect, less fear.

@pipthebadger3723 I'm sorry to hear, that you grew up different. In a small minded, backward thinking place. Can you leave? Or do you have family, parent, responsibilities. Difference, should be celebrated, if it isn't mean spirited.

@pipthebadger3723 You’d be surprised, then. I’m not “American”. But having travelled a lot. I’d rather need help from a stranger, in the states, and most countries, than in China. I’m not saying the Chinese people are bad. But what the government, has done to their culture, is criminal.
