  1. Yes, I had the same experience. They are grounded, it’s a high trust society. I’ve been to Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, and other Asian countries.

  2.  @jogreen12  Hi Jo, Thailand, Bali, Vietnam, if you stay away from the "most popular" areas. In the more rural areas, the people are great. Taiwan is not over run with tourists. So what you experience, represents the place. The markets, temples, walking the streets, in and around Taipei is great. The islands in the Philippines, the villagers are poor, but very friendly. You can go on forever there, exploring beaches.

  3. With the air pollution, and increased coal burning. The soil likely has a lot of lead and arsenic. They had leaded fuel not too long ago too.
