  1. My wife was from Beijing, 14 years ago. She wanted to get away from the politics. Yet, when my stepson, and I, told her of the different federal parties. She voted conservative, in the recent Canadian election. Because the Chinese wechat group said so. Has no patience for, the Hong Kong protests, or for people of colour. I’m frequently baffled, that she wants to be seen as Canadian, but says she can’t give up the “hive mind”.
