  1.  @alu1706  It can be quite the rabbit hole. Two weeks before my 60th birthday. My Chinese wife asked what I want. I said, no gifts, no party, just some close time with you. What ever you are comfortable with, in an intimate, romantic, possibly sexy kind of way. A few days later she asked, “no really, what do you want”? It didn’t happen. But I did take her, to the mountains, and an air BNB, for her birthday. Of course, she was still entitled, to complain about it, afterwards. Same with other holidays.

  2. My Chinese born wife, does therapy work with Chinese people. They are a very broken, bunch of people. Hiding behind, the facade of, “Chinese are close supportive family”.

  4.  @jameseverett4976  Thanks, I’m not here for sympathy. (I hope) Sometimes it just feels good to let it out. My stepson, and kids from before, are on their own now. All great kids, I’m happy to be involved. It’s the money, I’m over 60, and self employed. So being able to work less. To have personal friend and family time, on weekends or more, is pretty sweet. I hope you are healthy, get some peace, and satisfaction in your life.
