  4. 2 top reasons. The wife and kids. The kids, are learners, and my wife jams it into first at 40kph, (25mph). She also, leaves it in neutral down hill. Then finds a gear, to jam it into.   5. Another problem with coasting, is if you have trouble judging, road speed, engine speed, and the correct gear. My wife coasts down hill, rides the brakes, then regardless of speed, bangs it into first gear. Sadly, I had to buy her a automatic.
