  1. If it were that simple. My wife and I are in a monogamous relationship, we are happy with that. In theory. In reality, she was brought up to think sex is dirty, and a low level need, (not in a good way). I feel otherwise. Problem is, finding deep connection, and fun, with someone else. Is, it’s someone else.

  4. I can see this working beautifully, in communities, up to a certain size. Where they all know each other. Can it be adapted to cities, where there are millions of us? Or even if we were smaller groups, our modern mobility, can make us anonymous, and not responsible to the whole.

  7. My simmering embers for my wife, result in sleepless nights. She lived through post cultural revolution. Where there was immense shame and guilt, beatings too, for a girl showing interest in a boy. Later in life, she has found a form of spirituality. That places her above, any crude bodily needs. Our relationship is “great”, as long as we avoid the topic, of physical desire, and sex. I’m a little bit lost here. My rose is beautiful, but has no fragrance.

  8. Then there are those who are scared of attachment. My wife doesn’t like my attention directed towards her. She would rather I have sex with someone else. But I haven’t done that for over 12 years. Because it is all about attachment. That I want with her, not with someone else.

  23. We can start, by exposing the narrative, to placate the Communist Party in China. Try to critique the CCP, vs the USA, on Tic Tok, Youtube, or in a movie. One is censored, the other encouraged.

  26. Seeing the best, in the other. Is so true. To live, to embrace all the pains and joys. Is a life lived. We were married 25 years. I wanted to cuddle, like puppies. Maybe play a little rough too. She was comfortable, with holding hands. Being in the same room, was plenty enough, for intimacy.
