@NothingSerious...2 Turks recovered Muslim world but they didn't care much about scientific advancement. They were millitary savvy. Europeans took off after picking Arab numerals and adopting empiricism widely used by Muslims. This is common knowledge. The sack of Constantinople was a major factor in kicking off renaissance. (As great as Greeks were, they remained stuck on induction. Europeans learnt the art of deduction from Muslims).

@NothingSerious...2 Both Iberia and Baghdad were far ahead in terms of civilization, education and scientific advancement than any Western counterpart. Even biased orientialists do not deny this.

@marlenegoldberg5622 'While Jews were treated as dhimmis'. And how were non-Jews treated when Bar Kokhba took over Judea and Samaria from Romans for a brief period. How are non-Jews treated today in so called Judea and Samaria. I have heard and seen pretty bad things. Muslims are realizing now that they were too nice to a certain ethnicity. They should have treated that ethnicity the same way European counterparts treated them. 109 nations cannot all be wrong.

@marlenegoldberg5622 An ethno-nationalist state deriving the rationale for its existence from Biblical text cannot claim to be democratic, especially when it usurps the rights of indigenous people and prevents them from establishing their own state, thus violating International consensus. Nice try, hasbara.

@marlenegoldberg5622 Ok berg. Literally no historian claims this.

@marlenegoldberg5622 Also, Arabs and Persians indeed took philosophical work from Greeks, preserved it and built on it. That is literally how knowledge is expanded. Later, Europeans did the same thing.
