  6. @Christopher Even that was impossible. Again, regional factor plays in. The only way America could do a repeat of what happened in North America and Australia was by dropping nukes on mountains and levelling them because Pashtuns are no joke. Mountains make up more than 60% of Afghan territory. Nuking Afghanistan means upsetting China, Russia and Pakistan which are nuclear powers themselves and Iran which is on its way to become a nuclear power in future. Impossible.

  12. Slowly? It is quite fast. In year 1991, it became sole superpower, held that position for 20 good years and now has to share this status with China. Earlier on, it shared this status with USSR.
