  3. Your parents had to be taught about using condoms properly, and how HIV is spread. If someone isn't lucky enough to have parents who learned about these things, they need to learn about it for themselves. Education is how it has to start, and it's the only way it ends.

  7. Loren Kirk.....yeah we've heard the theory, and it makes a cool story. It just doesn't have much evidence backing it, and is generally considered a fringe idea today as our understanding of the virus and its history has improved.

  12. James.....if you learned about safe sex, it was because enough democrats and moderate conservatives voted in your district. Plain and simple. Fundamentalist conservative doctrine is opposed to teaching teens about how to have sex safely. Go ask them yourself, and they'll agree with me.

  14. bittercottoncandy.....It sounds like common knowledge to YOU, now that YOU know. But everyone has to learn these things somewhere. If your parents didn't grow up in the country and didn't receive much education about the subject, you likely won't know much about it either.
